Ginger

Ginger

Originated in the tropical rain forests, Ginger is a flowering plant whose rhizome is widely used as a spice and a folk medicine. Ginger also comes in the same family as of turmeric i.e. Zingiberaceae. Ginger produces clusters of white and pink flower buds that bloom into yellow flowers. Because of its aesthetic appeal and the adaptation of the plant to warm climates, it is often used as landscaping around subtropical homes.

India is the largest producer and consumer of ginger in the world.

GINGER OLEORESIN

Produced by extraction of the dried and unpeeled rhizome of Zingiber Officinale, ground to a moderately coarse powder, it is being used extensively in the carbonated beverages and as aromatic, carminative and stomachic stimulant.

GINGER OIL

Ginger oil has a thin consistency and is light yellow in color, with a pleasant, less pungent aroma, as compared to ginger root. When used topically, ginger oil can help relieve aches and pain, as well as promote normal blood circulation. When inhaled, it has a warming and energizing effect.
