Marigold flower

Overview

At Praksons Natural Extracts, lutein extract is derived from marigold flowers (Tagetes erecta), specifically selected for their high lutein content. Marigold flowers are renowned for their vibrant colour and are rich natural sources of lutein. Lutein is a carotenoid, belonging to the subgroup Xanthophylls. Unlike other carotenoids that impart red and orange colours, Xanthophylls exhibit yellow hues.

When procuring and preparing marigold flowers for lutein extraction, Praksons adheres to strict guidelines. The flowers undergo a specialised extraction process that carefully concentrates the lutein content while preserving its natural integrity and bioactivity. We do not use harsh synthetic solvents in our manufacturing process and lutein produced at Praksons Natural Extracts has less than 1ppm of solvent residue.
